The traditional cultures of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are rich and powerful in shaping the way they live in contemporary society and the ways in which they relate to the natural world, to each other and to non-Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. 

To appreciate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures is to gain an understanding of four interlinked strands: 

• the relationship with the natural world, land and sea 

• the importance of language 

• the Dreaming 

• the Lore. 

We wish to share our culture with people to have a deeper understanding of who we are and our purpose to care for country.
